Land registration plan

A land registration plan is a map showing the area covered by a right to be registered in the Danish Land Register. LE34 specialises in land registration plans, land registration, conveyancing and easements, and handles both straightforward and complex cases every day.

We identify existing registered easements and assess how they affect your property.
We secure new rights to use and access land, and handle the administrative process until the registered document is correctly recorded in the Danish Land Register.

Land registration plans for utility companies

Registering utility lines is an essential part of protecting a utility company’s infrastructure.

If a utility line on third-party land has not been registered, it may be subject to the Danish “guest principle” (gæsteprincippet). This means that the network owner – in practice, the utility company – must pay to relocate the line if it obstructs a project on the property.

Without rights secured by a registered easement, utilities may also have difficulty gaining access to their lines when urgent repairs are needed. For decades, LE34 has helped utility companies and small waterworks manage rights – from easement due diligence to registering easement documents that secure access to utility corridors, enabling rapid repairs to the network.

Land registration plans for homeowners

When you buy an older property, it is common for registered easements to restrict where you may build an extension or plant on parts of the property. If you are unaware of them, they can come as an unpleasant surprise.

The easements may, for example, limit building height or establish a right of way that allows others to cross a specific part of the land where construction is therefore prohibited. LE34 ensures that everything is identified before you buy, so you know exactly what you are taking on.
